In its bid to excel, Alcalagres has launched eight 60×60 models with a 20mm tile thickness.
20mm extra-thick porcelain tiles, ideal for outdoor use.
20mm extra-thick tiles guarantee the necessary resistance for use in public or domestic outdoor raised-access flooring systems.
Thanks to the resistance and durability of these extra-thick porcelain tiles, they can be used in numerous different applications of both a conventional and more innovative nature.
This kind of tile is perfect as bonded flooring in public spaces and/or places subject to high pedestrian traffic.
Likewise, the tiles can be laid on pedestals, gravel or lawns.
Dry-installation systems guarantee a swift, clean way of laying the tiles, without the rubble typically associated with building work. No drying time is needed and, because the tiles can be trodden on immediately, this installation system is ideal for public areas where the tiles can be laid without interrupting normal activity.
With dry-installation systems, the tiles can easily be laid and later removed for re-use, to gain access to drains or for maintenance work on the floor slab or base.
In the event of raised access flooring, a cavity is created that provides sound and thermal insulation for the floor immediately below.
Resistance and Safety, two fundamental factors.
In outdoor settings, wet areas, pavements and squares, a safe grip is essential to prevent people from slipping.
For this reason, Alcalagres has a policy of ongoing investment into R&D. It offers a multitude of tile products in a non-slip finish and several models in a rustic one able to meet the strictest of standards, including the CTE (Spanish Building Code). These tiles substantially reduce the risk of accidental falls due to slipping.
