On December 19, Andrew Cuomo, the Governor of New York State, presented the largest permanent public art installation in the history of NY. Alcalagres is proud to have participated in this mega project.
The works span the walls and ceilings of three new subway stops on Second Avenue as well as at a new entrance on 63rd Street.
“The Second Avenue subway provides New Yorkers with a museum underground and honors our legacy of building engineering marvels that elevate the human experience,” stated Governor Andrew Cuomo in a press release.
On January 1, travelers will be able to enjoy an amazing underground museum, and we are extremely proud of having been involved in its creation.
We have included a video and a photo gallery for those who are not fortunate enough to visit the art installation in person on January 1.
